What We Care For
Volunteer
QTC relies entirely on volunteers to carry out its services. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please send an email. We currently have openings for volunteers in the following positions:
Event Specialist: Responsible for planning, organizing, hosting, presenting, and moderating events. Social Worker and Outreach Person: Tasked with checking voice messages on our call line, returning calls to refer clients to appropriate information or organizations.
Social Media Editor: In charge of checking and responding to emails, sharing relevant information on social media, and updating our website.
Job Developer: Finding new sources of sponsorship and donations.
Community Interpreter and Translator: Providing interpretation for clients during legal, social, or medical appointments, as well as translating and assisting with form filling.
Bookkeeper: Managing financial resources and generating receipts.
Facilitator: Conducting informative seminars for newcomers on topics like healthcare, education, benefits, job search, legal rights, banking, taxes, and social life.

Turkish Folk Dance
“Spirit of Anatolia” is a Turkish folk dance group in Queensland that embodies the essence and vitality of Anatolian culture through their mesmerizing performances. The group’s repertoire often includes a dynamic mix of regional dances such as the energetic “Halay” from Eastern Anatolia, the graceful “Bar” and “Eskişehir Halayı” dance from Central Anatolia, and from the Thrace region of Turkiye, one of the traditional folk dances is known as “Kırklareli Zeybeği.”Each dance is meticulously choreographed, blending ancient traditions with modern flair, showcasing the group’s dedication to preserving and promoting Turkey’s cultural heritage. What sets “Spirit of Anatolia” apart is their ability to convey not just the technical precision of the dances but also the passion, emotion, and storytelling embedded within each movement. Through intricate footwork, expressive gestures, and colorful costumes adorned with symbolic motifs, they transport audiences on a journey across Anatolia, evoking scenes of village life, celebrations, and ancient rituals. Beyond entertainment, “Spirit of Anatolia” serves as cultural ambassadors, promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation for Turkiyes rich heritage.
